Black City Records is pleased to announce our first female artist, Noxolo Jaqueline Gwyneth Makhanya, who also goes by the stage name Gwyn. She was recently signed to Black City Records.

 

Gwyn is a soulful vocalist and a live performer who hails from the coastal province of Kwa-Zulu Natal. She started singing at the age of 10 and has done backing vocalist for several artists namely, Marvin Whinance, Dr Tumi, Thina Zungu, Nicky Shange, Farai and Gloire Mapenzi.

 

Gwyn has performed in Germany, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Limpopo and around KZN.

 

In addition to her vocal talent, Gwyn also possesses a fun personality and is full of positive energy. Gwyn is a true South African role model as her unique story, elegant style and bubbly personality appeals to South Africans, especially to the youth and young, aspirational women.
